  • In 1328 AD, the Emperor of the state of Delhi "Muhammad bin Tughlaq" captured the fort from Koli tribal Sardar Nag Nayak.

In those days, the Mughal army was looking for Shivaji Maharaj. That is why Shivaji used to live in disguise. After some time wandering, he reached the house of a poor Brahmin. This person lived with his mother. And he used to run his house demanding alms. Despite his pathetic economic condition, he paid respect to Shivaji Maharaj as much as he could.

One day Vinayak (Brahmin) came out of the house asking for alms. Unfortunately, they received very little food that day. Then he went home and made food and fed his mother and Shivaji. That night he went to bed hungry.

Seeing this generosity of his aunt, Shivaji became emotional. He decided to remove Vinayak's impoverishment. For this purpose, he sent a letter to a Mughal leader there.

It was written in the letter that Shivaji Maharaj stayed at the Brahmin's house on this day. In lieu of this important information, give 2 thousand Ashurfis to this poor Brahmin. After receiving the letter, the Mughal subordinate understood the whole thing. As he was well acquainted with Shivaji Maharaj's honesty and nobleness.

On receiving the information, he gave the prize to the poor Brahmin and arrested Shivaji Maharaj from his house. After this incident, through Tanaji, Vinayak (Brahmin) came to know that his house had been stayed by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj himself.

Because of taking shelter in their house, Shivaji got the hands of the Mughal army, due to this confusion, the Brahmin started mourning the chest. Then Tanaji consoled him and on the way, he fought Shivaji Maharaj after fighting with a group of Mughal Subedars.
