Speech on Guru poornima
The task of taking life away from the darkness of ignorance to the light of success with the light of knowledge is possible only with the blessings of the Guru. The word Guru itself is synonymous with light in the form of knowledge because in Sanskrit 'Gu' means darkness (ignorance) and 'Ru' means light (knowledge). The Guru leads us from the darkness of ignorance to the light of knowledge.
History is witness that even the avatar legends need the guidance of the Guru. Lord Shri Ram also succeeded in making his all-round development only with the help of teachers like Maharishi Vasistha and Vishwamitra.
Sri Krishna is called Krishnam Vande Jagatgurum, yet the life of Krishna has been enlightened by the guidance of Garga Rishi and Sandipan Rishi. This is to say that, for the complete development of every human being and spiritual light, the connection of the Guru is very important.
Goswami Tulsidas Ji has given a very precise, beautiful, and important description of Guru Mahima in many places in Ramcharitmanas.
Tulsidas Ji writes at the beginning of Ramcharitmanas-
Bandau Gurupad Kanja Kripa Sindhu Narrup Hari.
Mahamoha Tam Punj Jasu Bachan Rabi Nikar.
That is, I worship the Sadguru's lotus feet, I bow to him; Which is the beautiful and beautiful form of grace, that is, the human face in the human god. only His teachings are like the rays of the sun in the form of knowledge to destroy the darkness of ignorance.
Tulsidas ji has said in Aranyakand that-
Guru Pad Pankaj Seva Teesri Bhagati Aman.
That is, it is a special devotion to obey the Guru's reverential service. Tulsidas Ji advancing the glory of Guru says that-
Guru Binu Bhav Nidhi Tarai Which Birnchi Sankar Sama Hoyi.
That is, Brahma, Shankar-like Dev cannot even cross from Bhavasagar without ignorance.
Saint Guru has said in the glory of Guru that-
Give the head to the Guru, even if he is cheap.
Friends, the reality is that in every area of life, the guidance of the Guru is necessary for everyone. But when a man enters the field of spirituality, there is a great need for a teacher. The Guru's guidance in reaching heights is similar to that of sunlight. Gurus never harm us but pave the way for success in difficult times.
Whatever the path, whatever it may be, the Guru's teachings are similar to those of water in the desert, making it simple and easy. Be it the door to salvation or the path of spirituality, the success of every path achieves its goal with the blessings of the Guru. Even God is not available without a Guru only then the status of Guru is superior to God.
So friends, on this auspicious occasion of Guru Purnima, greet your respective Guru:
Gururbrahma Gruurvishnu: Gururdevo Maheshwara.
