Once Lord Buddha was teaching in a village. A wealthy person from that village came to listen to Buddha's teachings. Hearing the sermon, he got curious to ask a question. But he was hesitant to ask questions in the middle of it all because he had a lot of prestige in that village and the question was that his reputation would be at stake. So he started waiting for everyone to go. When everyone left, he got up and came to Buddha and folded his hands and said to Buddha -

God, I have everything. There is no shortage of wealth, wealth, position, prestige, austerity, but I am not happy. What is the secret to always be happy? I want to know how can we always be happy?

Buddha remained silent for a while and then said, "You walk with me in the forest, I tell you the secret to be happy."

Saying this, Buddha took him along and headed towards the forest. On the way, Buddha picked up a big stone and giving it to the person said, grab it and go.

The person picked up a stone and started walking. After some time, the person started having pain in his hand, but he kept quiet and kept going. But a lot of time passed while walking and from that person
If the pain did not end, he told the Buddha his problem.

Buddha said to him - put the stone down. The person felt relieved as soon as the stone was put down.

Then Buddha explained -

This is the secret to being happy.

The man said God did not understand anything.

Buddha said, "Just as there is a little pain in holding this stone for a few moments, a little more pain in holding it for an hour, and a sharp pain when it is kept for a long time, the more we can bear the burden of suffering. The longer we keep on our shoulders, the more unhappy and disappointed they will be. ”It is up to us, whether we want to carry the burden of suffering for a few moments or for life. If you wish to be happy, you will have to learn to put down the stone of sorrow as soon as possible. If possible, it will be avoided only by lifting it.

Friends, this is what we all do. They carry the burden of their suffering. I have heard many people in my life say-

He insulted me so much that I cannot forget life.

In fact, if you do not forget it, then you are hurting yourself.

Salvation from sorrows is possible only when we remove the burden of sorrow from our mind as soon as possible and be happy by being devoid of desires or contented with what is there.

Remember that each moment is new in itself and it is better to cherish the bitter memories of the moment that has passed, to enjoy our present moment to the fullest.

So be happy be happy
